SCRAP collects materials that would otherwise go to landfill. We make a huge variety of materials available at no or very low cost at our 5,000 square foot depot in the Bayview district of San Francisco. Our inventory changes too often to list on our website, but you can get a sense of what we have here and here.

We support teachers, artists, the environment and workforce development projects.

SCRAP’s hours of operation:

  • For Shopping: Monday through Friday: 10 AM to 6 PM. Saturday: 10 AM to 5 PM.
  • For Donations: Tuesday through Saturday: 10 AM to 4 PM.

Your material and monetary donations help us to provide free programs to schools and throughout the community. Please click the button below to donate.

When you #StartWithaSmile at smile.amazon.com/ch/94-2566798, Amazon donates to SCRAP, at no cost to you.

We have a small construction company and have 25 to 30 water booster pumps we are looking to donate. We took them out of new homes once they were hooked up to city water. They increase water pressure to a home. Great for remote locations. They are F&W Flint & Walling Pressure booster systems 1/2 hp with tanks attached. They are not new but in good working condition. Is this something your company would be interested in taking?

    Hi Toby,

We would love to have these images, and boxes. (we have a surplus of carousels, but will take them if the slides are in them.) I regret that we are unable to pick up in Cupertino. We accept donations Tuesday through Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM at our Depot: 801 Toland Street (enter on Newcomb), Sf 94124.

    Thanks for thinking of us!

Looking for a good home for thousands of old bird photos on slides – do you take slides, carousels, or metal storage boxes for slides? And do you have a pick-up service (we’re down in Cupertino…). Thanks!

Sorry, but we are unable to accept old sewing machines. I suggest Goodwill, St Anthony, or Salvation Army.

    Thanks for thinking of SCRAP.

Do you accept used sewing machines (needing repair)? I have a Singer Tradition 2250 10-stitch machine (about 5 years old). The motor sounds like it it rotating, but the needle does not move up or down. I imagine someone handy could easily diagnose and fix the problem. All accessories included with the machine.

Do you accept mirror glass? I have a couple of mirrors with broken corners. Is there any place in Marin County like SCRAP or Creative Use in Oakland?
