Found Object Relief Sculpture with Claudia Chapline

September 11, 2010  1-4pm           fee: $20

Artist and teacher Claudia Chapline brings her artistry to SCRAP!  Learn how to make a 3-dimensional wall sculpture by attaching scraps and found objects to wood and board panels and other flat surfaces.  Mechanical joining as well as binding with fibers and adhesives will be taught. You will create your own composition juxtaposing shapes, images, and textures. Have fun playing with new materials and go home with a personal art work!

About:
Claudia Chapline’s paintings and assemblage installations have been shown in galleries and museums throughout the USA and in Europe, Latin America and Asia. She was an artist in residence at Norcal, now called Recology.  She created a recycling trash into art program at Marin Recycling and has curated exhibitions on the art of reuse.

    From Jan Etre:
Attached is a photo of the Low Relief Sculpture With Found
Objects that I made on Saturday at the workshop and finished over the
    weekend at home.

I love it. I had a ball with this new for me medium. I’m all excited about
making more. Thank you for doing everything that makes it possible for
    these wonderful events to happen.

Please forward this to Claudia, with my sincerest thanks.
