SCRAP Workshop: Fun Summer Bags w/ Amy Lee Serradell
Fun Summer Bags w/ Amy Lee Serradell
Saturday, April 16th, 10am – 4pm fee: $45
(note this is a full-day workshop)
Everyone loves a cute summer purse, and you can never have too many! Amy Serradell is back to follow up her delightfully successful Small Purses workshop to present this versatile and fun summer purse just in time for Spring!
In this workshop participants will utilize basic sewing skills to create a fun, fully lined, fabric bag with bamboo handles. SCRAP is an excellent resource for fabrics and participants will begin by selecting fabrics either from the shelves of SCRAP or from a personal stash brought with them to class. Next is to choose from a selection of fabulous bamboo handles that were donated to SCRAP several months back, some of which Amy has painted to really show them off!
The pattern that Amy has designed can be sized up or down to suit the individual. She will demonstrate how to do this, as well as other modifications that can be done to really make the purse a unique creation. Each participant will leave with a completed individualized bag and possibly cut out and prep a second.
Participants need to bring their own sewing machine. Fabric and purse handles are provided. (**If you do not have a sewing machine of your own that you can bring please let us know. SCRAP has a limited number available and may be able to provide one for your use during the workshop).
