SCRAP Workshop – Basic Embroidery w/ Dorothy Yuki

By popular demand! Dorothy Yuki, presents the essentials of embroidery.  Last year she brought us her “Unusual Little Pincushions” and this year she starts us out with the decorative allure of embroidery.

Participants will learn what needles to use, the different types of threads and fabrics that can be used, as well as how to prepare a hoop. As well as teaching several stitches, Dorothy will provide information with 100′s of different types of stitches and instructions for making a decorative flower, embroidered cards, and a pincushion. Participants will leave with a menagerie of stitched works and basic understanding of embroidery techniques.
