SCRAP Workshop: Books with Content w/ C.J. Grossman
Books with Content w/ C.J. Grossman
April 30th, 10am-4pm fee: $45
(note this is a full-day workshop)
It’s great to make books – but did you ever get stumped because you didn’t know what to put in them?
This workshop is designed specifically to address content in books. Join us in welcoming back cj grossman as she leads this surprising and fun stretch of our imaginations. Participants will explore at least 10 ways to get
started on content and create several different books. Some from single sheets, as well as unusual pamphlets, and a slightly thicker book to make a journal or sketchbook. This is a fun, fast-moving class that will generate a lot of inspiration to make books at home or in the classroom.
A little about cj -
cj teaches book arts as well as mixed media collage and assemblage to adults and children. She has taught thousands of children how to make books, and also teachers educators and parents how to make books with kids. CJ lives in Berkeley with some real people and her imaginary yellow labrador named “Magic” whose name changes every week… You can find out more at http://www.artjazzbooks.com.
