SCRAP Workshop: Halloween Fascinator Hats w/ Aiko Lanier Cuneo

Saturday, October 29th 12-4pm     fee: $25

Just in time for All Hallows’ Eve, once again Aiko is here to teach participants how to design and construct their own fascinators with a SCRAP twist!  Need an idea for Halloween or a festive fall wedding? How about a new hat or fascinator made from SCRAP’s infinite supply of re-usable materials! Join us and learn how to make simple hat forms that will be covered and decorated to make original wearable hats. Cruise the aisles at SCRAP to find the perfect art parts that will inspire your designs. How outrageous can you be?!

About Aiko
Aiko has been an artist in schools for over 30 years, encouraging students to experiment, solve problems, and work collaboratively. She teaches family art workshops, classes for the Osher Life long Learning Institute, and Ruth’s Table at Bethany Center.  “I want my students to know that making art gives them another way to express themselves and the freedom to make choices as they use new mediums and learn different techniques.   I want them to be inspired by the challenge of repurposing and reusing materials in new ways. From paper to pine cones, the variety and ever changing materials found at SCRAP ask “What can you do with a material like me?”

Looks cool to me. I hope TheFeatheredHead.com would also come up with Holloween fascinators
