How to Donate

Donations are only taken by appointment. Email to schedule. Expect a response within 5 business days.
** Only certain donations items are accepted without appointment. Please scroll down to see the list of items we ALWAYS accept.**

  1. SCRAP reserves the right to refuse donations even if they have been approved via the phone or email.

  2. It is essential that donations with many different types of items be pre-sorted with similar items in smaller bags, with rubber bands, etc. This helps minimize exposure and health risks to our staff.

  3. If you cannot drop off your donation, SCRAP can pick up, on a case-by-case basis, by appointment. Within San Francisco, there is no charge for this service as long as you are donating the equivalent of six banker boxes. We do appreciate your voluntary donation of $15 for individuals, $50 for businesses. To arrange for a pick-up, please call SCRAP at 415 647-1746 between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM to speak to our staff.

If you would like to donate materials we do not accept, please visit the Reuse Resources.

Donate to Community Thrift Store and designate it to benefit "SCRAP" so a portion of their profit is given to SCRAP.**
