Artists & Crafters Giving Back (AC/GB)

SCRAP connects Artists, Crafters and their skills to those in need!

This program is ongoing and we are actively looking for volunteers! Email danielle@scrapsf.org to get involved

Hello Face Mask Makers

We have made 2400 masks and we are still sewing!

SCRAP thanks you for volunteering to make face masks benefitting San Francisco's most-at-risk communities.

We need you! Join our team of sewers!

HOW IT ALL WORKS

Need Materials or Have Extra?

-If you might need suitable material, such as plain fabric, elastic, and/or interfacing (to provide extra protection), please email Danielle as we may have some of each available for distribution, if necessary.

-If you want to contribute but not into sewing, that's ok! We are looking for contributions of fabric, and you can always donate.

-Keep in mind that it may be best to preshrink new cotton before sewing, as these masks are meant to be washed and reused.  After receipt, we will box and then quarantine the masks for a week to ensure they arrive at their distribution location virus-free.

The Fine Print

*Please note, for everyone who is currently making face masks that will provide protection for general public use, it's fine that you continue to use the pattern(s) you are comfortable with, using materials you already have on-hand.

For any significant quantities donated to SCRAP, which is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we will send out a donation receipt to the maker, which you can use to document its tax-deductible value.
