Seeking Part Time Programs Coordinator
Position Overview: The SCRAP Programs Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Programs Manager and Programs Director in SCRAP’s arts education programming as well as assisting in strategic marketing and administration efforts for the organization as a whole.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Material Coordination (65%)
Arts Education Outreach Programs: management of art supplies for weekly classes, additional program assistance where needed
Arts Education Outreach Programs: assisting in the logistics of materials planning with teaching artists
Workshops: Ensure all materials for workshop are pulled, sorted, and organized according to instructor directions
Corporate and Offsite Workshops: Assisting management of materials and metrics collection
Programs Support 35%
Offsite Workshops: Building offsite program, working to cultivate a team or teaching artists and volunteers, and developing engaging and sustainable activities
Corporate Workshops: Assisting Programs Director in corporate workshop outreach
Programs Metrics: Assisting programs manager with documenting program progress, creating and disseminating surveys, implementing collections systems, integrating this process into the programs routine
SCRAP in a Box: assisting in managing all assets for granting and marketing purposes example: classroom photos
Assistance with fundraising events
Scheduling, planning the logistics and staffing/participation of the outreach events (creative reuse demonstrations, pop-ups, participation in local events, tabling opportunities, etc.). Some of these events take place on the weekends and evenings
Programs website monitoring, ensuring content is up to date
Other administrative tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ability to work in high-pressure situations and to “think on your feet.”
Exceptional people skills, and experience working with children a plus.
Talent in taking initiative, prioritizing, and staying organized.
Computer and software savvy (Sendinblue (Mail Chimp), Eventbrite, Zoom, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva) especially to access, input and retrieve work-related information and to prepare written documents.
Passion for SCRAP’s mission
Experience in the arts is a plus
Job duties are primarily to be performed at the SCRAP Bayview Depot
A minimum of an associate degree with professional experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The employee must have a valid driver’s license and ideally own a vehicle to support off-site activities
NATURE OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
This position will report to the Programs Manager with dotted line reporting to the Programs Director

Seeking Teaching Artists in the Visual Arts + Fashion Design
We are seeking working teaching artists who work in either visual arts or fashion design to support our arts education programs: SCRAP in a Box and Sustainable Fashion Design. These programs are administered during the fall, spring and summer semesters in multiple week units where relationships with students are central to the position. We work through partnerships with community organizations and after school programs with students from ages 5-17.
We want to work with teaching artists who are interested in working collaboratively with our programs department to design and develop curriculum utilizing repurposed materials from SCRAP and with lesson plans that relate to or emphasize environmental consciousness. We would like applicants to have a demonstrated commitment to developing connections with students and who have the ability to develop hands-on visual arts projects that integrate critical thinking, individual learning skills, and collaborative communication. Our teaching artists will be paid as independent contractors, and submit invoices for payment. Hours range from 10-15 hours per week.
We are looking for applicants who can teach either fashion design and general art classes.
WE CURRENTLY HAVE MORE NEED FOR OUR FASHION DESIGN PATHWAY BUT WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GENERAL ED ART TEACHERS.
QUALIFICATIONS
Availability to teach during the week
General arts education experience
Fashion design/sewing skills highly preferred
Spanish speakers highly preferred
Active in your art form on a professional level
Experience teaching visual arts to a diverse group of young people with an emphasis on K-5 or 6th - 12 grades
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate on designing curriculum
Ability to work with partner programs and problem solve in onsite scenarios
COMPENSATION
This is a contract position and pay is $35 per hour.
